SpheriTide resins – kinder to the environment

12/7/2011

SpheriTech’s scientists have shown that SpheriTideTM resins for peptide synthesis have the best characteristics of both polystyrene and polydimethylacrylamide resins, without the disadvantages of the older supports. SpheriTideTM resins have excellent solvation characteristics, in particular the KS range, do not have the tendency to creep up the walls of reaction vessels. The resins  are also competitively priced in comparison to both polystyrene supports and the hydrophilic PEG based resins. One feature of the SpheriTideTM resins is that they are entirely biodegradable on a short timescale – unlike polystyrene and polydimethylacrylamide. Based on the polymerisation of L-lysine, a naturally occurring amino acid, SpheriTideTM resins are ideal matrices for peptide synthesis – without costing the earth!
